Kirkroyds PreSchool and Ofsted

Kirkroyds Preschool was rated OUTSTANDING  in all areas by Ofsted in 2016.
In order to be a registered  provider of early years care and education, Kirkroyds Preschool is regulated by Ofsted  and is inspected by them approximately every three to five years. The Preschool must comply with the statutory framework for children’s learning, development and welfare, known as the Early Years Foundation Stage.

On 1 December 2014 Kirkroyds Preschool changed its legal status to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and to comply with regulations had to register as a new setting - registration number EY481342.
Prior to this time Kirkroyds Preschool was an unincorporated registered charity (registration number 311316) and in 2007 became the first Preschool in Kirklees to achieve the highest award of 'Outstanding' for Care and Nursery education.  The Preschool was inspected again in 2011 and once again received 'Outstanding in all areas' of the curriculum.
